La Galerie Art Plus clôt l’année 2021 en beauté avec l’exposition
solo Hommage consacrée à Liz
Davidson, grande artiste de Sutton qui nous a quittés en janvier dernier.
L’évènement est un hommage à cette femme qui, par son
travail exceptionnel et son souci de transmission, a très largement contribué à la vie culturelle de notre
région.
Les œuvres présentées par la Galerie Art Plus, font partie
d’une série de peintures à l’encaustique que Liz Davidson a dédiée à Betty
Goodwin*. Jamais encore ces tableaux n’avaient été exposés au grand public. C’est donc avec une grande fierté
que la Galerie vous les révèle et partage avec vous un fragment de ce legs artistique
majeur.
*Un livre d’artiste, créé par Liz Davidson, intitulé Elegy to Betty Goodwin vous sera
également dévoilé, en quatre exemplaires exclusifs. Vous y retrouverez les
œuvres faisant partie de l’exposition Hommage.

2021 in beauty with the solo exhibition Hommage
dedicated to Liz Davidson, a major Sutton artist who passed away last January.
The event pays homage
to this woman who, with her exceptional work and sense of communication, has
largely contributed to the cultural world in our region.
The works presented
by Galerie Art Plus, are from a series of encaustics paintings that Liz
Davidson dedicated to Betty Goodwin*. These works have never before been shown
to the public.
It is with the
greatest pride that the gallery will reveal and share with you part of this
major artistic legacy.
*An artist’s book,
created by Liz Davidson, titled Elegy to
Betty Goodwin will also be unveiled, in four exclusive copies. The artist’s
book contains the series of works from the Hommage
exhibition.
